Sino-Russian Young Scientist Exchange Program — — Workshop on Intelligent Mechanical Equipment Held in Jilin University

On July 10, 2021, the “Sino-Russian Young Scientists Exchange Program-Academic Workshop on Intelligent Machinery and Equipment” was held in Nanling Campus of Jilin University, Changchun City, Jilin Province. This workshop is sponsored by the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery. More than 20 young Chinese and Russian scientists from the fields of Underground Resource Drilling, Bionic Technology and Intelligent Equipment, as well as young scientists from the Republic of South Sudan, Pakistan, Niger and other countries participated in the discussion. The main purpose of this academic workshop is to promote exchanges between young scientists from China and Russia.

SADYKOVA ZAMIRA, a visiting scholar at Jilin University, gave a keynote presentation entitled “Modern Agriculture in 20 Concepts of Nano, Biology and Intelligence” through simultaneous interpretation. The presentation details Russia’s new agriculture, modern technology, technological innovation and modern animal husbandry. For example, plants, fungi, insects and other organisms can be used to purify water and clean soil as a bioremediation technology. In addition, nanomedicine has also promoted the development of modern animal husbandry. To study and treat diseases, doctors will inject micro-sensors into the body, which will collect relevant information about the body’s operation and collect necessary samples.

Young scientists from China, Russia and other countries had a lively discussion on the theme during the workshop. Through this academic exchange, scientists from both sides realized that the mode of agricultural production is undergoing tremendous changes. The use of resources as the carrier, bionic and intelligent technology and related intelligent machinery and equipment as the means, is helping the world get rid of hunger.

This exchange has established a communication platform for young scientists from China and Russia. In the future, young scientists from China and Russia will have more frequent exchanges and substantive cooperation. As the scientists attending the workshop pointed out “the exchange of technology will further reduce the cost of intelligent machines and tools, thus reducing the price of agricultural products, which will make due contributions to ensuring the food security of the people of China and Russia” in their speeches.
